Window Blinds Historically can be traced back to the Egyptians who strung reeds together and from the Chinese whose version was made by stringing bamboo together. In the 18th century window blinds were used as an alternative to shutters. Everyone lives in a home that has at least one window. Windows are great they let in light and air when we open them and don't when we close them. We can look outside of our window and see what's going on if we have a good view. For those of us that have an artistic flair blinds can go great with coordinated curtains, drapes and or valances to match. I myself use window blinds with valances to match.
